Bodysurf House first opened in July 2017 constructed from scratch by the team that run it.
We are situated a short walk, just 150 meters from the waves of Capbreton. With Hossegor just 10 minutes away by bike and Seignosse close by, our spot is perfect for surfers of all levels.
With our central location tucked away behind the front of bustling Capbreton with many restaurants of varies there are plenty of dining out options. You can also enjoy the fish market in Capbreton port, only a 5 minute walk away to find the freshest catches.
Xavier and his team will meet all your needs in this modern hostel known for its friendliness.
On the top level of the building there is a beautiful 6 bed apartment available to rent, separate to the rest of the hostel with a great view of the ocean for you to keep an eye on conditions.
On the ground floor there is a open plan communal kitchen and dining area, with a modern cooking space. TV and bean bags also makes for a great area to socialise and relax.
The kitchen has a glass floor to allow a direct view to the basement, where all our surf equipment available to you is on display.
Outside on the large terrace you can choose to relax in the jacuzzi, or lounge on the deckchairs or in the sauna downstairs, here at our place that has already gained a good international reputation.
BodyGo Surfhouse Capbreton is the first establishment of the BodyGo Experience group.
After a great success in Capbreton, it seems obvious to reiterate the concept in the mountains and to make skiing in all its forms accessible. In December 2020, the BodyGo Hostel was born in Valfréjus in Savoie. In addition to this, you need to know more about it.
The property was bought by Xavier’s father in 1998. In 2015, Xavier decided to begin construction on Bodysurf House. The former Bodysurf Paradise was demolished in May 2016. The demolition was interrupted for 10 days, during which time the house was painted by creative street art artists. We hosted an exhibition and had a beautiful party here.
The construction of the Bodysurf House started at the beginning of September 2016. Xavier and his friends (Jimmy, Baptiste, Julien, Mike, Erwin & Seb) took turns helping out during this 10 month challenge.
We reached our first goal successfully by overcoming some of the major works in only 2 months. The staircase was laid in early December and in the following days the carpenters were at work so that Xavier and Jimmy could finally lay the tiles before Christmas.
In January 2017, construction resumed, with the installation of joinery helping to shelter the site from the elements.
For the rest of the project, other friends and family members (Marie, Olivier, Alain, Noel, Eliane, Daniel, Michele, Franck & Vic) helped out, putting their skills to use to aid Xavier, the main Project Manager.
The Bodysurf House was successfully completed at the end of June in time for our grand opening in summer of 2017.
It was a remarkable performance and a beautiful story of friendship and solidarity.
THE HOUSE
In the basement, you will find all the surfing equipment, two showers, a toilet as well as the comfort space for returning from your surf session.
On the ground floor, a large kitchen, a living room and in its continue the large terrace.
On the 1st floor, 2 dormitories with 6 beds and 1 couple's bedroom. On the 2nd floor, the duplex Penthouse.
THE KITCHEN
The kitchen, a place of sharing and conviviality. On its floating island, it is surrounded by a glass floor where you can, while concocting your best dishes, see the surf equipment below your feet.
The kitchen is double equipped with 2 sinks, 2 hotplates, 2 ovens. A large American fridge freezer is at your disposal as well as personal bins to store your food. Ideal living space to cook with others, at the same time and why not, to share recipes and good dishes. The kitchen thus becomes the main place for meetings and exchanges.
THE TERRACE
Our Landes pine terrace is facing west for non-stop sun from noon to sunset. This beautiful space sheltered from the wind is ideal for having lunch or dinner on the large wooden tables ...
A plancha is available to our visitors who can enjoy our deckchairs and the jacuzzi.
Here, after surfing is royal. The tree-lined path leads directly to the surf spots with a small garden composed, depending on the season, of tomatoes, peppers, aromatic herbs and salads which will accompany your meals!
THE COMFORT
Sauna & hammam
This wellness area is ideal after a surf session or for a relaxing evening.
Available on request from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., heated in less than 30 min.
Jacuzzi
After a good surf session in the cool ocean waters, what could be better than relaxing in water at 38°.
Available from the beginning of April to the end of October from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
